TAFCO – Resources

WEED IDENTIFICATION:

TAFCO is often asked ‘What weed is this” and “How can I rid my property of this weed?”

CHEMICAL REGULATION:

“What chemical will control this pest or disease in this situation?” Answers can be found in the AVPMA’s website

  • AVPMA – Australian Pesticides  & Veterinary Medicines Authority
The APVMA is an Australian government statutory authority established in 1993 to centralise the registration of all agricultural and veterinary chemical products into the Australian marketplace. Previously each State and Territory government had its own system of registration (eg insecticide, fungicide or herbicide).
  • Public Chemical Registration Information System Search
This site is a database of ALL agricultural and veterinary chemical products which are registered for use in Australia.  Data includes the product name, registering company, active constituents and product category.

Once you locate a product in PUBCRIS, in most cases, you will also be able to see a copy of the product’s label.  SDS’s are available from Manufacturers websites.
